The Yorkshire Dales National Park covers 1,762 square kilometres (680 square miles) of countryside and boasts some pretty impressive mountains – six of them over 700 metres (2,296 feet).
And there are some formidable hills like Buttertubs pass at the side of Great Shunner Fell – a challenging test for the world's top cyclists in the Tour de France Grand Départ in 2014 – and Park Rash between Kettlewell and Coverdale.
Among the mountains are the iconic Three Peaks of Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-ghent, which are climbed by thousands of people every year.
