Learning and engagement

There are many ways that staff at the National Park Authority can help you visit and learn about this special area; through Dales Experience we can organise visits for groups which might otherwise find it difficult to come here - such as those with learning disabilities or health issues; or we might support your group to achieve a John Muir Award; or we can help with your volunteering for your Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Our experienced guides can lead education walks for school groups at Malham or Hawes. Young people who live near Settle can join our Young Rangers group and get out and about helping with practical conservation projects.

Or maybe your business or organisation would enjoy a guided walk or benefit from a corporate team building day on a practical project such as helping repair a footpath or planting trees; get in touch with our Rangers to find out more.

Dales Experience

The Dales Experience programme provides group visits for people with special needs or from ethnic minority backgrounds.
