Every year, £175,000 is available through our Sustainable Development Fund (SDF) to help fantastic projects, big and small, get off the ground in the National Park.
What does it fund?
SDF supports schemes that promote a more sustainable way of living in, working in and visiting the National Park, while conserving and enhancing its local culture, wildlife, landscape and communities.
We will support schemes that provide:
- multiple benefits
- value for money
- clear outcomes
- a legacy
Who can apply?
Grants are on offer to individuals, businesses, community groups and voluntary-sector bodies, and projects can be far-ranging - from community composting and appropriate renewable energy schemes to sustainable transport and eco-tourism.
How much can I apply for?
There is no set minimum or maximum grant but our average grant amount is £5,000. As a guide, we hope to support more than 20 projects annually.
How do I apply?
The best way to make a start with your application is to read the SDF Guidance notes and think about how your project fits within them.
Applicants need to show how their project will contribute to the achievement of one or more of the objectives in the National Park Management Plan, which sets out shared ambitions to secure a prosperous future for the National Park and its communities.
