Archaeological advice

As well as dealing with general public enquiries about archaeology in the National Park, we provide the following:

  • Advice to farmers and landowners on archaeology and the historic environment.
  • Advice and assistance on dealing with archaeology in the planning process.
  • Advice and assistance on the management of archaeological features, for example, the preparation of consolidation specifications for such features as lime kilns.
  • Advice and assistance on scheduled monument consent.
