Carr House Neighbourhood Development Order
An application for a Neighbourhood Development Order (NDO) was submitted by Kirkby Stephen Town Council to reinstate Carr House, Mallerstang and construct an extension to form a 4 bedroom off grid dwelling for holiday letting or local occupancy.
An independent examination of the Order took place during 2017. The examiner’s report recommended that subject to various modifications the NDO could proceed to referendum. The referendum took place on the 22nd February 2018 throughout the Upper Eden Neighbourhood Plan area. A majority of those voting supported the NDO so the Order will now be ‘made’. A decision notice making the order together with the modified Order itself is available below. Development can now take place in accordance with the duly made Order.
