At 723m (2,372ft), Ingleborough is the second highest of the Yorkshire Three Peaks. It is made up of alternating layers of limestone, sandstone and shale beneath a gritstone cap.
The best known walking area in the National Park features Yorkshire's famous Three Peaks - Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-ghent.
Togther with our partners we are working to support projects that enhance and promote the National Park's distinctive landscape, geology and cultural heritage, including large-scale projects such as the Ingleborough Dales Landscape Partnership Scheme to enhance the wider landscape of Ribblesdale and Chapel-le-Dale by 2019.
