Ride to Stride is a week long celebration in early spring of the wonderful landscape and culture of the Yorkshire Dales and Eden Valley with walks, talks and music along the fabulous Settle-Carlisle railway line.
Every day of the festival there are a number of walks on offer, all leaving from stations along the line. The walks are organised by different groups, each one led by an experienced walk leader.
The festival features a number of talks by renowned walkers, campaigners, archaeologists and authors, who will share their knowledge and love of the area. The talks all take place in Settle.
Throughout the Festival week, pubs along the railway line will be buzzing with music and song. Each day sees a different venue hosting some of the best folk musicians from the region. On most days the music will run through the late afternoon and well into the night.
