The Dales Festival of Food and Drink is held at Leyburn in Wensleydale, and has grown to be one of the best events of its kind in the area with more than 12,000 visitors experiencing local food at its best. The event includes a food hall, real ale festival, farming displays, demonstrations and guest speakers.

The Food Hall has over 80 exhibitors including a great array of local producers - bakers, meat and dairy producers, honeys and jams and of course, cheese. There is also a Real Ale Festival with over 30 wonderful brews from local producers. Then there are cookery demonstrations by local chefs, and fun displays showing how farmers produce what ends up in the shops. If that was not enough, you can also find a series of entertaining speakers and music performances each day.
