The peregrine falcon is one of Britain's most impressive birds of prey. Since 1993 they have nested at Malham Cove in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) and the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority (YDNPA) run a viewpoint so you can see these wonderful hunters of the sky along with many other upland birds.

It's all part of the RSPB's 'A date with nature' project to give people the chance to get close to birds.

When the peregrine falcon viewpoint is open, we provide regular updates about what's happening at Malham Cove. For the very latest news visit:

Opening times

The free viewpoint is open from Thursday to Monday (closed Tuesday and Wednesday) from Thursday 29 March until Monday 30 July 2018.

Staff and volunteers will be there from 10.30am until 4.30pm. With the help of telescopes, they are on hand to show you these magnificent birds and the wildlife of Malhma Cove.

Opening times are dependent on the weather - get up-to-date information from Malham National Park Centre.

Support the project

If you would like to help us and the RSPB with this project, you can donate at the viewpoint, at Malham National Park Centre or online at:
