Under 18? How about volunteering as part of our Young Rangers group?

We have three groups across the park for anyone aged 11 to 16 who loves the outdoors and is keen to find out more about our amazing National Park. 17 and 18 year olds can also be involved as helpers. For more information about this see here  Young Rangers.

Do you have experience in running family/children’s events?

The Dales Countryside Museum is interested in hearing from people skilled in leading activities that would appeal to their younger visitors.  Volunteer practitioners are sought to support their programme of activities and events throughout the year. They are particularly keen to hear from those with knowledge of craft, nature, the outdoors and archaeology though other ideas and skills are welcome.  Experience of working with young people is essential as well as good communication skills and a big dollop of enthusiasm!
