We offer a number of Corporate Volunteering Days where groups have the chance to get out of the office for a day and make a difference to the Yorkshire Dales National Park. See further down this page for opportunities that are currently available.

Corporate volunteer days not only help employers meet their own corporate social responsibilities, but they benefit employees in all sorts of ways by:

- Learning new skills and building stronger teams to go back to the office.

The difference you can make
The skills and time provided by corporate teams are very valuable to the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority. They help us to tackle more jobs than could be achieved with staff alone and they help to build community links and valuable business support. But more then that, they give people from different backgrounds a chance to learn about and enjoy the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
What to expect
We can offer a number of different activities suited to the abilities and size of your group. Typically our days take place from 10 am – 4 pm, but we can be flexible according to your team’s needs. You will be met by a member of our Ranger team who will guide you through your day of volunteering.
We take care of the insurance, risk assessments and provide everyone with a safety briefing before the day starts. If protective clothing or equipment is required, this will be made available. All necessary tools and materials will be provided.
All you need is to bring a packed lunch/ drink, wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, be prepared to get mucky and undertake a reasonable level of physical activity – but that’s part of the fun and hopefully you will laugh a lot along the way.

Costs
We ask companies to make a donation to the National Park for our corporate volunteering opportunities. Revenue we raise from our Corporate Days helps us continue to look after the Yorkshire Dales National Park. For a maximum group size of 10 we suggest a donation of £500.
