With around 2,000 miles (3,200 kilometres) of public rights of way within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, there are many opportunities for the public to explore and enjoy the countryside. The National Park Authority maintains the rights of way network under delegated powers from the County Councils.

On these pages you can read about some of the projects that are planned, or have been carried out by, the Ranger Service and Dales Volunteers.
