What can you do?
We offer a range of opportunities to volunteer and help the Yorkshire Dales National Park:
Dales Volunteers
The 'Dales Volunteers' is the YDNPA's network of around 200 volunteers. This is a long term volunteering opportunity where volunteers can be involved in a wide variety of tasks.
Dales Countryside Museum volunteers
At the Dales Countryside Museum in Hawes, Museum volunteers record and conserve artefacts, give demonstrations and assist visitors as required.
Schools work experience
We offer a limited number of work experience placements to pupils at schools in or close to the National Park.
Work placements
A very limited number of placements are available to students in higher education or people looking to gain work experience.
Young Rangers
An opportunity for anyone aged 11-16 to take part in practical conservation tasks. Young Rangers meet once a month in the North, West and South of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Group volunteering
If you are part of a group of people who want to volunteer there are occasionally opportunities for you to come and get your hands dirty working on projects to look after some of the many kilometers of public rights of way that we are responsible for.
Corporate volunteering opportunities
If you are a company, bank, building society etc and would like to have a corporate team day out of the office while helping make a difference in the National Park, check out the following link.
